Continued From Ice Lake Round 20 ~ Scattered Mayhem

Summary

It is Embla's turn to be hit and stunned again. Rob and Mikael each destroy a larva.

Original Page

After the larvae's turn

The DM: Once again, 1623 attacks Embla, rolling a 16. It hits for 3 points, which stuns the assassin.

Engelhart is attacked from the front and the rear. 1723 attacks with a natural 14, missing. 1725 attacks with an adjusted 14, +2 from the rear, also missing.

Lothar is attacked by 1826, moving from 1827. The larva rolls a 7 and misses. The larva in 1926 rolls a 9, also missing.

There are no other attacks.

And the new positions after the player's turn:

After the players' turn

And experience so far:

Current XP totals

Lothar: Attacking 1926 again.

Attack: 6.

Bugger.

Mikael: I move to 1722 with 3 AP, then:

I spend 2 AP and swing my Mithril Dart at 1723, my modified attack roll is 17 hitting AC 4 and dealing 2 damage (I get +3 for attacks from the rear)

Rob: I move to 1722 and swing at 1623.

Attack : 16
Damage : 3

Engelhart: I move to 1624 and attack 1623.

Attack roll: 8+1,+1 from flanking, which hits AC 8, not sure if it proves enough.

Damage roll of 8 in any case.

Engelhart: (Rob, I think you may have mistaken the hexes, no?)

Engelhart: (or not, seeing now that you probably have 5 AP, oh well, my attack goes to waste.)

The DM: That move is not possible, Mikael. Please see this rule post on "melee hexes," or combat hexes as I am also in the habit of calling them.

Your minimum move to reach 1722 is 4 AP.

Rob, same request. Your minimum move to 1722 is 3 AP, which would not leave you enough AP to attack; Mikael also called the hex first, though admittedly, you both called it pretty close to the same time. I don't think it's an issue, as I think neither of you will still decide to go there.

Rob: I have 5.

The DM: You miss by 1 pip, Engelhart.

Everyone rushes to help Embla and poor Lothar is all alone ...

Mikael: I cannot move to 1922, 1822, then 1722 for 1 AP each?

Rob: I have 5 AP, is that not enough for the move (3AP) and an attack (2AP).

The DM: Hm. My notes agree with you, Rob. Mikael's comment posted first, I have to give him the slot if he wants to give up his attack.

Mikael: Rob can have the spot

The DM: Mikael, you're in 1924. It takes you two AP to get to 1922.

Mikael: I move to 1825 to help Lothar.

I spend 2 AP and swing my Mithril Dart at 1826, my modified attack roll is 14 hitting AC 7 and dealing 3 damage.

The DM: Okay! Rob, I'll take your roll as is, call the 16 and hit and reward with 3 damage. The larva is stunned.

Mikael: I got Rob and I's images confused. My fault.

The DM: That will stun 1826.

Working on the update.

The DM: Losing my mind too, Mikael.

Rob, your hit destroys. Mikael's hit destroys. Both of these creatures have been hit before. Rob gets 2 hp for what it had left and Mikael gets 3.

The DM: The post above is updated.

The DM: The next post is up.
